Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern Recipe
3 pounds ground veal
3 pounds ground beef
3 cups fresh bread crumbs
1 1/2 tablespoons salt and pepper mix
1 1/2 tablespoons parsley
3 tablespoons half and half
1 tablespoon Worchestershire sauce
3/4 cup white onion
3 tablespoons garlic puree
3 tablespoons oregano
3 tablespoons sage
1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce
Saute the onion and garlic and set aside to cool. Mix together all ingredients, add room temperature
onion mixture and mix until very well incorporated. Portion the mix into loaf pan, patting with your hands to remove any air pockets. Bake at 350 degrees until internal temperature reaches 155 degrees.
Baste with BBQ sauce and cook an additional 10 to 15 minutes to form glaze. Remove from oven and let rest from 10 minutes before slicing. Use knife to slice to desired thickness and serve.
